PASCO, Wash. -- Most businesses have a procedure for when they are broken into or robbed. Wednesday, some business owners learned how to avoid that situation altogether.
The Washington State Crime Prevention association held a class at TRAC in Pasco. The class covered armed robbery, workplace violence, terrorism awareness, investment fraud, and retail theft.
Executive Director of Crime Prevention,Daryl Pearson, says it's more important than ever, to get the community educated on crime prevention.
"We're in tough economic times, and in tough economic times, crime in your area and especially businesses will rise," says Pearson
Police say by working with business owners to prevent crime, they can better protect cities.
