Grocery stores brace for last-minute rush

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Many people will be shopping up to the last minute to get all the "fixings" for their Thanksgiving Day feasts.

The Top Food and Drug store on Washington Avenue sold more than 200 turkeys on Wednesday.

Grocery stores have already geared up for the last-minute shoppers, and say they are well stocked with the Thanksgiving Day items.

"We got your cranberry sauce, stuffing mixes, turkey. Of course, fresh turkeys for the person that needs to come in that day," said Anthony Acob, Center Manager for TOP Food and Drug.

TOP Food and Drug will be open 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Albertson's stores - 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Safeway stores - 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Friday.

Rosauers on 72nd Avenue - 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wray's Food & Drug stores - 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
