ELLENSBURG, Wash.- A group of ten rafters were stranded in the Yakima River Sunday afternoon, holding on for their lives.
The group was on a big raft in Ellensburg when it flipped over, knocking the passengers off. Five of the rafters were under the age of 13.
Kittitas County Sheriff's Deputies found the rafters about one mile from I-90.
No one was injured and all 10 passengers were found safely. Deputies say the owner of the raft was cited for many violations, including not wearing proper life vests.
Deputies say the river is very high and caution against going in it.
