SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle Police Department homicide and Gang Unit detectives are investigating shootings that left a 19-year-old man dead and two other men wounded in the legs early yesterday in south Seattle.

No arrests have been made.

The 19-year-old man who was shot in the head died at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center last night. The two other men also were taken to Harborview.

Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson says it appears the victims knew those who shot them and that it likely was not a random crime.

Police believe more than one gunman was involved.

Jamieson says witnesses began calling 911 to report several shots fired just after 1 a.m.

Detectives believe the shooting took place along Rainier Avenue South near South Court Street, just south of where Rainier and Martin Luther King Jr. Way South cross.

That was where police found the first victim, a man who had been shot in the head.
