A man is recovering tonight after an industrial accident sends him to the hospital.
The accident happened at Cintas laundry services on Fifth avenue just before three this morning.
A worker got his arm tangled in the clothes of a large industrial washing machine.
Wade Gates, a spokesperson with Cintas Corporations says the worker was able to stop the machine. Gates says the corporation has started an investigation into the accident, but he says the washer was inspected and has been returned to service.
Bob Stewart with the Yakima Fire Department says the worker had several broken bones in his arm and fingers -- including one compound fracture.
Stewart says they usually use trauma scissors to cut people free, but the wet clothes were bound so tightly around his arm, the fire department had to use a reciprocating saw to cut him free.
