TOPPENISH, Wash.-- Construction has been completed at Lincoln Elementary School in Toppenish.
They've been working to create a safer way for parents and bus drivers to pick-up and drop-off kids.
Before, many parents would drop their kids off in the middle of the street, forcing them to run across traffic.
But with the new drop off lane, District Superintendent John Cerna hopes that will change.
"It's all about safety for our children. We want to make sure when parents come and drop their kids off and when they pick them up it's going to be a lot safer," said Cerna.
They've also completed work on a new parking lot for teachers and staff.
A playground was torn down to make room for the changes.
