PENDLETON, Ore. - A Pendleton man is shot and killed in his home, and police have a suspect in custody. 

The Pendleton Police Department say the 49 year old man died from a gunshot wound.

It happened Thursday at 6:42 PM at 15 South East 11th Street in a single wide trailer, space #10. 

Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a women who said an individual had just been shot.

When police arrived, they found a white male dead.   They are not releasing his name until they can notify the next of kin.

Officers found Charles Franklin Summerfield, a 69 year old white male, who is a suspect in the case and police are questioning him.

He is in the Umatilla County Jail booked with probable cause of intentional murder.

Investigators say the victim was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun.

The Pendleton Police Department is continuing the investigation with the assistance of the Oregon State Police, Umatilla County Sheriff's Office, Umatilla County Medical Examiner's Office and the Umatilla County District Attorney's Office.
